Yash Chopra is widely hailed as the King of Romance in Bollywood. LAMHE has all the ingredients of an YC film – exotic locales, top notch stars & yes, romance above all.

The ever young-at-heart filmmaker narrates a tale wherein an unrequited love of Viren, a Thakur played by Anil Kapoor finds final fulfillment with the lookalike daughter Pooja (Sridevi in dual role) of the now deceased heroine Pallavi (Sridevi). The Rajasthan landscape as well as the beauty of London has been framed appreciably by the lens of the cameraman. A brooding Anil Kapoor and a bubbly Sridevi are competent. Waheeda Rehman, Anupam Kher & Manohar Singh perform credibly in supporting roles.

Director Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela read the book DADDY LONG LEGS and was inspired by the story. This is how the film LAMHE was born.
