The film ‘Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye‘ uses some experimental devices in the story-telling in this tale of a petty crook who became famous in Delhi for his crimes and his brilliant mind. A TV narrator announces the event unfolding in the life of protagonist and progresses the story of the cops-n-crook chase. Sequence of ‘stills’ have been used intermittently, while a series of soundless images punctuated by a twinkle sound appears as a rather unique and effective narrative technique. The mood and color of the film oscillates between bright and dark, so apt for a film based on the character of a sharp mind criminal. Abhay Doel, Paresh Rawal and Archana Puran Singh form the cast.
